Introduction

Hi!

My name is Ismaeel, but I prefer to be called Issy, as some people find it hard to pronounce the name "Ismaeel" and I guess I like the sound of the nickname Issy. Also, I am 17 years old and I am currently studying Media Studies, Business Studies and Sociology at Belgravia.

My top three TV shows:

Before you read my amazing top 3 TV shows, I was going to write my top three movies, but I feel that TV shows have really taken over and are getting even more popular than movies. Some reasons include that there is more running time in TV shows than movies, there is room for more complex stories and there is more control from creators.

1. The Umbrella Academy:

This is my favourite TV show of all time because it includes my 2 most favourite genres, being comedy and action. The umbrella academy is about a family of adopted sibling superheroes who used to work together, to fight evil. Over the years, the family split up and go on their own paths, to discover themselves. Then it fast forwards to present time, when the family get back together to find out how their father died and they have to stop a global apocalypse, before it's too late. The TV show includes many exciting close combat action scenes, amazing choice of music soundtracks in each scene, hilarious jokes and interactions between each of the siblings and by the end of watching this TV show, it has a massive emotional impact on you, it makes you want to watch more and you want to know so much more about each character's backstory.

2. Stranger Things:

I absolutely hate horror movies and horror TV shows, as I think a lot about movies and TV shows after I have watched them and if they are scary, they make me feel paranoid and I can't do simple things like turn off a light in the dark or open a shower curtain. But I felt that Stranger Things was not that scary and there were only a few scenes where I had my hands covering my eyes. So far there are 3 seasons released and there is a fourth season coming soon to Netflix. Stranger Things is about a group of friends who live in a town called Hawkins and one of the friends (Will Byers) suddenly disappears. Many important people that care about Will Byers go searching for him and along the way they discover terrifying supernatural creatures and beings. The TV show includes 1980's nostalgia, tense cliffhangers and funny humour.

3. Sherlock:

Sherlock is a modernised version of the Sherlock Holmes novels created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock Holmes (a private detective) and John Watson (a former army doctor) both work together to solve extremely complex crime cases and mysteries in London. Also, their main nemesis is a criminal genius, by the name of Professor Moriarty. The TV show includes crime, drama, mystery, hilarious jokes that Sherlock makes and how we can see Sherlock's point of view when he is solving a case and his amazing skills of deduction and observation.
